The F1st-66XS KIRISAME is the new standard KIRISAME of the 5D graphite era. With a STINGER TIP and an improved blank, KIRISAME is a master of lightweight finesse rigs, scoring high across all finesse benchmarks throughout its development. The extra fast tip shows excellent “give”, absorbing light bites and giving equally tantalizing effect. The 5-D GRAPHITE SYSTEM's improved cutting pattern and layering process ensures an incredibly smooth transition of the taper into the midsection, where the blank's tough torque enables long casts, strong lifting power and crucial sweeping hook sets. The KIRISAME is the new global standard for finesse.
5D GRAPHITE SYSTEM
The newly developed blank technology as part of the experimental LAIHA project is the 5-D GRAPHITE SYSTEM. As the name suggests, this blank construction method uses five prepreg patterns to best address five elements - vertical axis, horizontal axis, oblique axis, stretch and elasticity - and combine each in a careful puzzle matrix to achieve the to maximize application-specific performance of each blank. The cohesiveness of each finished puzzle allows disparate pieces to fuse together, reducing unnecessary prepreg overlap of traditional patterns and layers. It allows for more precise smooth taper and seamless load transition for truly intuitive performance.
DESTROYER HEAD LOCKING SYSTEM 3 (PAT.)
Based on the machined aluminum head locking structure developed in the LAIHA concept project, the new Destroyer® HEAD LOCKING SYSTEM 3 is optimized for production status. The lightest of all Destroyer® series to date, the structure minimizes possible blind resonance and vibration transmission through the reel, in addition to highlighting the specially designed elegance of each rod model.
IBCS (ITO BIONOMICS CASTING SEAT)
Guided by angler bionomics, the Megabass Original IBCS reel seat is an achievement in angler and equipment integration, ushering in a new era of comfort, utility and performance. Minimalist grip contours and a sturdy short trigger design allow for intuitive grip transitions as the angler moves through the cycle of casting, rod work, hook setting and landing.
Empty contact areas are maximized to deliver precise feedback without sacrificing control. The carefully shaped squat trigger design is wide and short to provide the grip you need for casting heavy lures and managing hard-pulling crankbaits.

DESTROYER ORIGINAL SOLID THREAD

To further reduce unnecessary weight and improve performance, the Destroyer® features a smaller diameter thread made from special fiber, allowing for tighter and more effective guide wraps. This not only minimizes the wrap area and associated epoxy to reduce weight, but also minimizes any negative impact that hard epoxy guide wraps can have on the natural bend curve of the blank. The result is a smoother, more intuitive blank with minimalist threading for maximum strength and performance.
