The F5st-65XS KIRISAME KAMEYAMA SPECIAL is the ultimate spinning tool for finesse cover situations and deep nose hooking in open water. The medium-speed cone features a solid carbon STINGER TIP for unimaginable sensitivity in an F5 power wand. This unique marriage of opposites allows for the presentation of lighter rigs that would only be possible with poles that are not sufficiently powered for the task at hand. The KAMEYAMA SPECIAL targets deep rock piles, gnarled submerged wood, brush and structures infested with wickedly sharp quagga mussels. This “Heavyweight Finesse” spinning setup allows delicate rigs to be cast into heavy cover with confidence. The STINGER TIP allows for subtle bait manipulation and sharp sensitivity, while the F5 powered slug has the backbone to pull hard-fought catches from cover.
*As with all STINGER TIPS, pay particular attention to tip storage and taping as this professionally tuned tool is unforgiving of misuse. When properly cared for, the STINGER TIP delivers unsurpassed performance year after year.
5D GRAPHITE SYSTEM
The newly developed blank technology as part of the experimental LAIHA project is the 5-D GRAPHITE SYSTEM. As the name suggests, this blank construction method uses five prepreg patterns to best address five elements - vertical axis, horizontal axis, oblique axis, stretch and elasticity - and combine each in a careful puzzle matrix to achieve the to maximize application-specific performance of each blank. The cohesiveness of each finished puzzle allows disparate pieces to fuse together, reducing unnecessary prepreg overlap of traditional patterns and layers. It allows for more precise smooth taper and seamless load transition for truly intuitive performance.
DESTROYER HEAD LOCKING SYSTEM 3 (PAT.)
Based on the machined aluminum head locking structure developed in the LAIHA concept project, the new Destroyer® HEAD LOCKING SYSTEM 3 is optimized for production status. The lightest of all Destroyer® series to date, the structure minimizes possible blind resonance and vibration transmission through the reel, in addition to highlighting the specially designed elegance of each rod model.
IBCS (ITO BIONOMICS CASTING SEAT)
Guided by angler bionomics, the Megabass Original IBCS reel seat is an achievement in angler and equipment integration, ushering in a new era of comfort, utility and performance. Minimalist grip contours and a sturdy short trigger design allow for intuitive grip transitions as the angler moves through the cycle of casting, rod work, hook setting and landing.
Empty contact areas are maximized to deliver precise feedback without sacrificing control. The carefully shaped squat trigger design is wide and short to provide the grip you need for casting heavy lures and managing hard-pulling crankbaits.
Regardless of your preferred style, the new IBCS seat ensures secure support in every situation.
DESTROYER ORIGINAL SOLID THREAD
Fuji TITANIUM FRAME SiC-S GUIDE
To further reduce unnecessary weight and improve performance, the Destroyer® features a smaller diameter thread made from special fiber, allowing for tighter and more effective guide wraps. This not only minimizes the wrap area and associated epoxy to reduce weight, but also minimizes any negative impact that hard epoxy guide wraps can have on the natural bend curve of the blank. The result is a smoother, more intuitive blank with minimalist threading for maximum strength and performance.
Wieland Warme -
At this point I would like to give a short review of this rod. In principle you won't find any detailed information
Information about exactly this rod, so here are a few assessments and tips about the Kirisame Kameyama Special.
What attracted me to the Kameyama Special was the rating F5, in combination with the lure rating of 3,5 - 21g. Actually
I never maxed out the rod to the lower casting weight range, the minimum was maybe 5g. That does it
To actually feel and animate the rod appropriately. At the same time I also caught them in Norway with a 25g jig and
4″ Twister can be fished without any problems. It has a lot of power and has an in-house rating of F5 (~Medium Heavy).
fair in any case.
The blank is still extremely sensitive and sensitive, which is thanks to the solid tip - I'm not exaggerating at all
taken to the extreme to the point of perversion. Fishing on a wavy sandbar will almost drive you crazy.
The workmanship is excellent, as is typical for Destroyer, but the reel seat takes some getting used to. In addition, the rod is very
top heavy and requires a relatively heavy roller. This becomes a balancing act because the rod is of course wonderfully light.
But you don't want to counteract it with a role that is TOO heavy, so as not to give up too much of the easy handling. I
I found a good compromise in the Daiwa Certate 2500 Compact.
However, the Kameyama Special is indeed special. The blank is rock hard. This goes so far that even with heavier ones
There is no pleasant casting feeling when casting bait overhead. Unfortunately, here you really have to compare it to a broomstick
pull.
Where the Kameyama Special shines is in cover fishing at short distances, which can be achieved through pitch casting.
If you are looking for a special cover spinning rod that is (largely) used exclusively for this discipline, you will find one here
really strong cutlery. If you want to use it largely as a long-distance casting rod, you probably won't be happy with the Kameyama Special.
